ifilm English to start airing new series ‘The Doormat’

ifilm’s new series, ‘The Doormat’, has been scheduled to go on air from December 16, 2017.

‘The Doormat’, produced by Seyyed-Mahmoud Razavi and directed by Mohammad-Hossein Latifi, is a comedy series tinted with love and passion.

The series, a sequel to ‘Chimney’, is a comedy about ordinary people who try different ways to deal with problems in their daily lives. Some of them even go beyond and come up with some get-rich-quick ideas.

Firouz used to run a carpet washing center, but since it closed down, he has had a hard time keeping his clients. His brother-in-law, Nosrat, unknowingly gets involved in some illegal activities and creates trouble for his family as well as his neighbors.

The series cast list includes Behnam Tashakkor, Sima Tirandaz, Houman Barqnavard, Amir-Hossein Rostami, Negar Abedi, Majid Yasser, Ebrahim Azadi, Shahin Taslimi, Jamshid Mashayekhi, Karim Qorbani, Sadreddin Hejazi, and Mohammad-Reza Shirkhanlou.

‘The Doormat’, made in 2016, is scheduled to replace the series ‘Chimney’, which will air daily at 20:00 GMT.

ifilm English will also repeat each episode of the series the next day at 01:00, 07:00 and 12:00 (all GMT times). It is comprised of 20 episodes.
